YOUR JOURNEY
DAY 1 — ARRIVAL IN PORTO

DAY 2 — PORTO · BRAGA · GUIMARÃES · PORTO
Sacred Heritage & the Birthplace of Portugal
After breakfast, begin your private journey north to Braga, one of Portugal's oldest cities and the historic religious capital of the Minho region. Explore the city's elegant historic center, including Braga Cathedral and the beautiful Santa Bárbara Gardens, then continue to the magnificent Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, renowned for its monumental baroque staircase and spectacular hillside setting.
Your journey continues to Guimarães, widely regarded as the birthplace of Portugal — birthplace of King Afonso Henriques, the country's first king, and an early political center of the emerging portuguese kingdom. Discover the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, Guimarães Castle, and the Chapel of São Miguel, before a private guided walk through the city's exceptionally well-preserved medieval center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Overnight in Porto. This day can be customized with additional stops or more time in Braga or Guimarães.
DAY 3 — PORTO · AVEIRO · FÁTIMA · PORTO
Canals, Coastal Traditions & the Spiritual Heart of Portugal
After breakfast, travel south to Aveiro, a charming coastal city known for its canals, colorful boats, and the traditional Portuguese sweet known as ovos moles. Enjoy a scenic cruise along the canals, offering a relaxed introduction to one of Portugal's most distinctive cities.
Continue to Fátima, one of the world's most important Catholic pilgrimage destinations. In 1917, according to Catholic tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children here — Lúcia dos Santos and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto. Visit Valinhos, closely associated with the lives of the three shepherds, followed by the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima, the Chapel of the Apparitions, and the Basilica of Our Lady of
the Rosary, where Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta are buried. Enjoy lunch and free time for personal reflection, religious activities, or shopping. Overnight in Porto.
DAY 4 — PORTO
Discover the City That Gave Portugal Its Name
After breakfast, dedicate the day to Porto, known as the invicta, or “Unvanquished City,” defined by its historic architecture, distinctive neighborhoods, and spectacular setting along the Douro River.
Your private sightseeing includes Liberdade Square, associated with King Pedro IV of Portugal — also known as Emperor Pedro I of Brazil — and the historic São Francisco Church, famous for its extraordinary gilded woodwork and catacombs. Continue to the atmospheric Ribeira district, a UNESCO World Heritage area, and the waterfront near Castelo do Queijo. Enjoy lunch and a free afternoon at your own pace. Overnight in Porto.
DAY 5 — PORTO · DEPARTURE
Until Next Time, Portugal
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. At the agreed time, your private driver will transfer you comfortably to Porto Airport for your departure flight, with assistance throughout. End of services.
