Depart from your hotel at 8:30 AM to enjoy the morning light and the valley’s scenery. Arrive in Régua for a cultural visit to the Douro Museum, where you will discover the history of the world’s first demarcated wine region.
Continue to the São Leonardo da Galafura Viewpoint, one of the Douro’s most impressive lookouts. At 640 metres above sea level, it offers sweeping views over the Douro River and the surrounding landscape.
Miguel Torga famously described this view as “not a panorama the eyes behold, but an excess of nature,” a quote displayed on a tile panel at the site.
In the afternoon, enjoy a Rabelo boat trip to Pinhão, followed by a visit and tasting at a Port wine estate with stunning valley views. Return to Porto, with arrival at your hotel expected by 6:45 PM.
